Alyssa My character has developed mentally by growing a growth mindset. He develops this mindset by doing what he loves, soccer. When he plays soccer he feels free and all his worries go away. He plays with his best friend and laughs so much. Even when his parents divorce. When that happens he becomes depressed. Soccer was still a way to push those worries aside and have fun without having to worry.
My character also developed a growth mindset throughout the book.at first, she thought she couldn't get help and she'd never know how to read, but throughout the book she gets help and realizes that its not impossible
Emery My character, Gerta, have developed into a outspoken, brave, risk-taking, young women. Physically, throughout the book because of her and Franz's work digging, she has become strong yet very thin due to not eating. Mentally, I admire Gerta and the fact that she knows that she, her mother, and Franz deserve a better life.
Niyani- Vidya, my protaginist, has grown to become a greater scholars than she had been previously. She was forced to take calculated risks and they ended up benefitting in her favor. Physically, she had lost weight because while she has a mentality of steel, her aunt seems to love taking up a majority of the leftovers from meals and its caused her to lose a lot of weight. I admire her because she's practically been straved by her aunt but her mind has actually been what's keeping her alive.
